Tex-Mex In Chengdu

I had dinner last night in Pete’s Tex-Mex Restaurant. Actually it was pretty good and it sure looked authentic, cactuses, tequila etc. But it was strange feeling like you are somewhere in the Southwest U.S. but it has been over-run by Chinese waitresses. Since Sichuan/Mandarin food is very spicy, a Tex-Mex place fits right in. It was pretty busy and I was the only non-Chinese in the place

I took a long walk today. Here are some more photos. I like the Philosophy Salon idea.

Very much fun to see these pictures, Chris, and hear your “reports”! When Owen and I visited Puerto Rico we had a very hard time finding Puerto Rican food! Even the town square was American fast food everywhere. Had to ask the clerks in the shops who directed us off the street and down an alley to a lovely authentic place where THEY eat! But I suppose the natives want the “exotic” just like me! Do have a wonderful time in China and post more pictures for us who are tied to the workbench!!:)
