Wet Day For Lummi Island Commute

The wind was up this morning when I started for the Islander for my cup of vitamins. I stopped by the overlook where the old ferry landing used to be to take a few photos of the waves coming in. Not much color to these pics as I was looking right into the southeastern sky around 11am island time. I had to keep wiping saltwater off of my lens filter. Whatcom Chief left Gooseberry Point on it’s way over to the island so I went down to the ferry terminal on our side and took a few more photos. This is what I got.

Wild and wooley ride!! I heard via the Radio that the Ferry was shut down around noon because the crossing was so dangerous. It did end up to be a pretty gorgeous day after it decided that it was done blowing and pouring rain! Typical Spring weather around here. We had a huge old dead Maple tree come down in the middle of the road just down the street from us…goin’ to go pick it up tomorrow…some good burning wood there… it’s all about the free BTU’s!
