This is my photo for today. When I ride my bike by these mail boxes I think it might make a curious photo or painting. At least it’s an example of moss and lichens on Lummi Island. I have a book, ‘Plants of the Pacific Northwest’ (1), that is an excellent reference for plants and also tells some of the uses of these plants by early aboriginals. I keep the book in my pack but don’t have it with me so cannot tell you what is growing here.
