These photos were taken at Inside Passage Arts Gallery in Skagway, owned by Terry Williams, in 2005. I thought these artifacts were pretty interesting and the photos might become a good reference. Unfortunately I did not place a size reference item in the photo but if you look at the panoramas, I think the items are about 2 times real size.

    I make trade bead necklaces using fragments of these very same artifacts that Eskimo kids pick up off the beach and sell to me. I love them! So many stories with each of the pieces: harpoon valves, fish spears, handles, sled runners, toggles, fish lures, jigs and other broken and discarded tools. All handmade mostly of walrus ivory.
