Mt. Baker Today
I was out taking photos today and it was cold, about 27 degrees f and a NE wind out of the mountains. I can’t use my camera with gloves on so face and hands get cold pretty quick. I was able to get a fair shot of Mt. Baker producing some steam though.
There are a few more photos from today in the Lummi Island photo gallery. If you like, please comment and share. :0)

YES!!! Saw this view right about sun set, sky pink, mt. steaming! Wow! That thing is a Volcano!!! In fact we called the kids and told them to go look at it… very incredible and beautiful photo. Thank you!
Yes–my wife called this to my attention yesterday afternoon (1-9-11). We watched it through binoculars from Ferndale and I took a series of about 35 photos from about 3:00 PM till dark. At times we could see as many as 5 and possibly 6 seperate plumes.
I was up in the Skagit Valley. I only had my iPhone to get shots, didn’t work. I’m glad you were there. It was fairly amazing from the snow fields.
Is she still steaming? I’d love to get some good shots.
