Mt Baker Sunrise

I went out early this morning to see if I could get a good photo of the sunrise. My favorite painting medium is pastel chalk and this sky seemed to be painted with those pastel colors.
A little steam is almost typical of Mt Baker but is more obvious with the sunrise we have from Lummi Island. Spectacular sunrises are common when weather permits.

ooowh! such a beautiful photograph! I really take this place that I live for granted. Love the stringy clouds being blown over the MT. We’ve had this strange high NW wind going for a couple of days and you can see the clouds trying to stack up over and beyond the MT.
