Here are photos of an impressive carving by a friend of Terry Williams. The carving medium is moose antler ivory and seems to depict salmon going upstream. I am not sure of the artist’s name or who took the photo so won’t try to say here but will ask Terry to comment on this post and will then update with new content. I would be nice to get some comments on this really great carving.

  2. This moose antler piece was carved by Ida bagus Baruna. It was photographed by John Heiserman of Tucson. Baruna is a world class carver that loves to do extreme detail. Antler is not realy ivory, but the most dense pieces look like it especially in moose antler. This piece is now in the famous collection of Javier Bustamante of Peru!
