Hawk
Jessica has inspired me to take more photos. I like her idea of taking at least one interesting photo per day. I don’t know if I will be able to do that but will give it a try for a while. On my way through the Rez today I spotted this hawk and pulled over to see if I could get a good photo. It can be difficult to shoot at a darker object against a light sky. The other problem is getting the subject to be still or not fly off. By the time I got my settings right he was long gone.

“By the time I got my settings right he was long gone.”…..the story of my life, Kelly!!!
I can SO relate! I usually make the subject too dark when shooting against a light background. I think that eventually I’ll learn to adjust accordingly. That’s one of the cool things about this project; I figure that forcing myself to practice daily will help me more quickly than if I continue on my current shooting schedule.
Great, regal shot! I hope you keep up with it. If daily is too much, I hope you at least get that camera out more frequently
