Christopher Nowicki Berlin Exhibition
Mezzotint artist Christopher Nowicki opened a solo exhibition at the Maniere Noire Gallery in Berlin on Friday, February 11. Maniere Noire Gallery is a new gallery specializing (as the name suggests) in mezzotint and linocut. The gallery director Majla Zenelli is a distinguished mezzotint and linocut artist in her own right.
Christopher’s exhibition was well attended and deemed a success by the artist and the director. Nowicki’s last solo exhibition was 4 years ago and this is the first time he has been able to show his entire ‘Entropy’ series which contains four prints of 45x60cm size and one of 60x90cm. This work took almost ten years to complete. The rest of the exhibition was a collection of his works from the last 15 years and includes hand colored mezzotints, mezzotint/serigraph combinations and prints inspired by his work and travels with Native Americans in Alaska, USA.

Totally Awesome, Chris! Congrats on the accomplishment! Let’s see some pictures of those prints, huh?
