Here is the wax panel carved by Adam Mills. It has been prepared to dip into ceramic slurry to produce a mold for the “lost wax” process. Once it has been dipped and the outer mold hardens the wax will be burned out in the furnace then molten metal will be poured into the mold. Notice the sprues at the top that will allow the bronze to flow into the finished mold. The small metal rounds are bolts to keep the large flat bronze piece from warping as it solidifies.
