My oldest had a birthday this past weekend.  He turned 7.  On Saturday we had a little party with some cousins and went to the local Pirate themed pizza joint.  The kids had a blast.

I enjoyed trying out a new recipe and actually making a successful batch of cupcakes.  While I pride myself on being a pretty good baker, I have had numerous bad batches of cupcakes.  I finally found a recipe that worked great.  Here it is if anyone is looking for a good chocolate cupcake recipe.

I iced them with chocolate butter cream and stuck laffy taffys into each.  The kids loved them!

Day 29 was taken with a Nikon D90.  50mm focal length, f/12.2 with a shutter speed of 1/640, ISO 1250 with an exposure compensation value of -0.3.  Natural light.
