365 Project – Days 36 through 40
I have been getting a bit behind on posting my daily shots. I haven’t had too much trouble getting my daily shots, but the posting them online has been catching me up a bit. That’s OK. Here are days 36 through 40.
Day 36 is an iPhone photo. This is a shot of some homemade marshmallows I made. I really liked my result and will be making them again. Most homemade marshmallows are made using gelatin but I didn’t have any so I found a recipe that used jello instead. They were a bit softer, my husband might even say mushy, than normal but they were tasty! I will try this again after I get some gelatin. It was super easy and fun.
Day 37 was inspired by a photograph I saw years ago of a toddler dripping with trade beads and all sorts of beautiful jewelry. It was an advertisement on the back of Ornament Magazine for what seemed like years. I loved that photo. It’s fun to dress babies up. I’m sure I’ll do more versions of this photo in the future.
Day 37 was taken with a Nikon D90. 105mm focal length, f/5.6 with a shutter speed of 1/120, ISO 1000. Natural light.
Day 38 was taken during bath time; one of my baby’s favorite things to do. She loves playing in the water and bubbles. Don’t all kids?
Day 38 was taken with a Nikon D90. 105mm focal length, f/5.6 with a shutter speed of 1/100, ISO 1600. Natural light.
Day 39 was taken in the midst of trying to get a shot of my 5 year old for his Valentine cards. I am doing this again this year. Uly is at a new school so it won’t matter if we reuse it. New pictures, of course. So we spent a good portion of the afternoon taking photos and trying to get one that was just right. This is one of the rejects, but I think Gar’s thumb is pretty fun. It’s kind of indicative of who he is.
Day 39 was taken with a Nikon D90. 50mm focal length, f/5.6 with a shutter speed of 1/150, ISO 500. Natural light.

I can just hear Mag say, “What Blueberries, Mom? I never saw ‘em! Must have been Uly!”
And that picture of Eva and the beads!!!!!!! Over the top! I’ll have to use that in my advertising!
And are we on Gar’s Valentine list?? I hope so!
You can totally use that. If you do want to use it, I’ll send you a larger version of the file. It’s 98% stuff you made anyway!!!
That’s exactly what Mag would say except it would sound like this, Yew-ee di it. Naw me!
