The works which I present here are made in serigraph or “screen print” technique. Two of them ‘Where are my hoofs?’ and ‘Escape from Monsta Island’ are continuation of subject and way of expression, which I used during my studies. I have always prepared projects and layers for expose by my hands, so it’s a directly transfer of painting and drawing gesture. I like this effect, because it is personal like my graphics. Where are my hoofs? This print is about my own reality and dream. Three other screen-prints ‘Escape from Monsta Island’, ‘The two monsters have broken out’ and ‘We are controlling them’ are free interpretation of my new inspiration – Japanese films about Godzilla and other monsters. My last six works are the newest. ‘Cosmic bandit’ is a first print from my new series, also about Godzilla films. It is based on the same layers, but in a different combination of colors. In this way, the fight between monsters may change and take various forms. Words and numbers on these prints are closely related with subject describing each of monster. I think that this series is more like experiment for me, because I’m still learning during the printing process. Besides that, it’s a great joy for me and I can’t live without it. |

Welcome to Marta!!
I really like your prints! How many layers have you used in these prints and it looks like maybe you cut some layers by hand and burned some too?
Thank you!
On my last prints I have more or less 10 different layers, only one is made in computer program.
On the other prints I used about 20 different layers and colors, sometimes even more. All were made by hand – I painted and drew on tracing papers or cut some shapes from paper.
