Besides being an English Professor at the University of Kearney NE, Kate Benzel manages music performers and cultural events.

Kate brings together classic American traditions and contemporary listening. With both acoustic and electric instrumentation in various genres (folk, country, blues, jazz, rock), for all audiences. She also provides educational programs on Carl Sandburg (Carl Sandburg: Prayers for the People) and Woody Guthrie (Re-envisioning 1930s America) combine poetry, songs, and lecture in dynamic presentations.
