Jyl Peterson
Artist Jyl Peterson likes to get her hands in anything to create. She’s all over the place. Sometimes an art piece consists of rusted car parts and optics lenses or woodpile blocks carved into instruments.
The art present before you arrived from the more traditional usages of watercolor, ink, and oil pastels and derived from a world of fluctuating motifs of color and design.
Jyl is also a picture framer currently operating Deja View Picture Framing in Ferndale, Washington. She began framing out of a necessity to match her artwork with her sense of design, proportions, and color. Some of her pieces have the mat as a continuation of the art itself creating a three dimensionality. Framing at this point in Jyl’s career as an artist has consumed most of her studies.

Jyl,
I found you, again. How wonderful.
I’m in Seattle. Would love to see you.
